The Hollow of the Frenchman, is the story of a man and his land.
A love that surrenders to the strains raised on a limestone soil in its depth and sand covering on the surface, giving their maturation to the grapes and its greatness to the wine.
A depression between two slopes, a hollow in a small plateau, the so-called hawthorn of the Mesilla, where the nicknamed “the Frenchman”, back from his youth travelling through distant lands, needed to return to the memory of the senses, to the harsh land of his hawthorn, to the freezing Castilian winter that gives birth to a strong and powerful grape that knows how to keep the intense flavor inside its thick skin, to the deep and elegant sweetness of the grapes close to the hollow; to the tribute to the best soil to clothe the vines, to the need of keeping the powerful essence of its grapes to be tasted in a wine … in a great wine.
A terroir wine, aged for months with its lees and just a mild oak ageing.
All this, gives a smooth fresh mouth entry, with the perfect acidity leading to a silky, glycerous balanced rich fruit- forward full mouth pass ending in a slightly bitter after taste, typical of the Verdejo variety, which undoubtedly invites you to continuing tasting.
In short, a wine with a grate unctuous and aromatic personality.
A wine to enjoy!
